Matt and Dirk use advanced techniques when removing mercury amalgam to protect the patient, the staff and the environment from toxic waste mercury. The Dental Pod also offers all areas of general dentistry.

Dr Dirk Jacobsen

Dirk graduated in Hamburg, Germany in 1990 and has worked in Tasmania since 2007. He practices integrative dentistry as a personal philosophy. Dirk acknowledges that more and more patients are now asking for an alternative to conventional dentistry, one that complements the whole person.

Matt grew up in Taroona and has been practising dentistry in Hobart since 2007. He is passionate about the intersection of overall wellbeing with oral health, and how to enhance them both. Matt also speaks fluent French and Spanish.
