Vapes contain chemicals such as propylene glycol and vegetable glycerines which cause tooth staining and reduced saliva flow. A reduced saliva flow can lead to changes in your mouth bacteria, and the enamel becoming more susceptible to decay.

Sweet drinks such as flavoured milks, energy drinks or soft drinks can worsen the vape effects.

Dry mouth is also a common side effect of vaping, which can cause bad breath.

The vaping companies have recognised that young people are their target audience and are addressing their advertising this way – vaping will most definitely not make your smile any more attractive!
